If you need medical help when the practice is closed, please call NHS 111. It’s free, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and you can call 111 or visit 111.nhs.uk. NHS 111 can assess your symptoms and direct you to the right care, such as a pharmacist, urgent care, your GP, or emergency services if needed.
Several local pharmacies participate in the NHS Pharmacy First scheme and can help with common illnesses and minor health problems. Under the NHS Pharmacy First service, pharmacists can assess and treat seven common conditions, including earache, sinusitis, sore throat, infected insect bites, impetigo, shingles, and uncomplicated urinary tract infections in women.
If you have a life‑threatening emergency, call 999 immediately. This includes severe chest pain, difficulty breathing, collapsing, or any serious condition that needs urgent emergency treatment.
If you are unsure what to do, please contact NHS 111 first for advice.
